Pyramids for year 5
O:K year five we're still working on instruction texts this week because I feel that we need to spend a little more time to All be really proficient at writing instructions.
So as you know today we wrote instructions on How to build a pyramid and on Monday you are going to explain How to make a mummy working on stuff you know about from other years.

We're also going to have another competition and after doing our instructions today I decided that we would actually make some pyramids. It's voluntary of course just like the puppets and you can use any material including lego, duplo, card or material. Here are some examples. Good luck!!!

Poetry year five
This is one of the poems we'll be working on over the next few weeks in year five its called;
Cargoes by John Masefield
Quinquireme of Nineveh from distant Ophir,
Rowing home to haven in sunny Palestine,
With a cargo of ivory,
And apes and peacocks,
Sandalwood, cedarwood, and sweet white wine.
Stately Spanish galleon coming from the Isthmus,
Dipping through the Tropics by the palm-green shores,
With a cargo of diamonds,
Emeralds, amythysts,
Topazes, and cinnamon, and gold moidores.
Dirty British coaster with a salt-caked smoke stack,
Butting through the Channel in the mad March days,
With a cargo of Tyne coal,
Road-rails, pig-lead,
Firewood, iron-ware, and cheap tin trays.

It's about three different types of ships.

Next weekend on Saturday I'm going to be singing at this concert in the Auditorium in Madrid. I invite you all to come and see me there. You'll probably need binoculars to spot me. The cheapest tickes are 12 euros so not too expensive.
Hope you can make it.
