Great science Project in year 6

The children in year 6 have been working on the discovery of America using an amazing webquest . Aztec, Maya Web Quest

Children worked in teams to investigate the different parallel societies around 1550 and then produced a newspaper to show what was happening in different parts of the world.
The results have been amazing.   Through self discovery and team work they have created some amazing pieces of work.
One team used coffee to create parchment paper and made a scroll which had interesting articles about the "New Starbucks" due to the discovery of coffee and Nesquick ads to show the arrival of chocolate to Europe.  The fashion section explained clothing tendency's in Spain  16th century and an interview with Colombus asking him how his wife puts up with him being away so much.
Another

boy made cartoons of a Spanish bee"La abeja Maya"  chatting to the conquistadors.

Year 1 Homework 21st March

Let's write another story I enjoyed reading the last ones so much.

Ask your children to tell you about their bedroom and their best friend. (Oral skills only)  That's what we've been working on this week along with prepositions. These kind of questions are what they will get next year in the Trinity exam so we need to prepare them with time.

Put on the music of Molly Malone in  youtube

and ask them to sing along.

So here is a nice website to practise more prepositions .
